The No. 3 University of Georgia women's tennis team will serve as a host for the 2024 ITA Kickoff Weekend, which will take place Jan. 26-27 in Athens.

The Bulldogs will welcome South Carolina, Arizona, and South Florida for the Athens Regional.

The ITA Kick-Off Weekend event serves as the beginning of the dual match season for college tennis. 120 teams each will compete across 30 sites for a spot in the ITA Men's and Women's Indoor Championships. Georgia has been a host site in all but two years since the ITA Kick-Off inaugural season in 2009. The Bulldogs are 26-0 in Athens, and 27-1 overall in the opening spring event.

The University of Georgia men's tennis team will host No. 19 Texas A&M, Auburn, and Louisiana for the 2024 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Kick-Off Weekend on Jan. 28-29.

The selections were made during the ITA Kick-Off draft that took place virtually on June 14 and 15, 2023.

Georgia will play Louisiana the first day. The winner/loser of that contest will matchup with the winner/loser of the Texas A&M versus Auburn matchup.

The teams will compete for one of 16 spots in the 2024 ITA National Men's Indoor Championship. The Bulldogs have won the ITA national indoor title on two occasions, doing so in 2006 and 2007.

Georgia's 2023-24 men's tennis roster includes six new freshmen and a transfer. The team has enrolled five-stars Cyrus Mahjoob and Davis Taylor, four stars Parker Jacques and Parker Mariencheck as well as Belgium-native Niels Ratiu. The Bulldogs also signed USC transfer Ryan Colby, a former blue-chip prospect and All-Pac 12 honoree. Freddy Blaydes, who has a career-high International Tennis Federation world juniors ranking of No. 117 and signed with the program in September, joined the team at the beginning of January.

Juniors Thomas PaulsellMiguel Perez Peña and redshirt sophomore Filipe Costa are the only three players from the 2023 SEC regular season championship team still on the roster. Five of the remaining six used their final year of eligibility last season while Ethan Quinn opted to begin his professional career after winning the NCAA singles national championship in May.
