HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — The Georgia women's golf team posted a 14-over 298 in Tuesday's second round of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Club, putting the Bulldogs tied with No. 17 LSU in ninth place entering the final round.

The tournament field features four top-10 and 10 top-25 teams.

Jo Hua Hung paced Georgia on Tuesday with an even-par 71, while the Bulldogs also received counting scores from Candice Mahé (73), Caterina Don (76) and Jenny Bae (78). Isabella Holpfer, who is competing as an individual and not eligible for team scoring, fired a 75, and LoraLie Cowart posted an 80.

"Jo and Candice had really good rounds today," head coach Josh Brewer said. "Jo having it under par on this golf course is really solid, and Candice also played well on a difficult and challenging layout. We are disappointed because we expected to post a really good score and move into contention. Now we move into tomorrow and attack that as a chance to win the final round and move up the leaderboard and have our best showing of the tournament."

Overall, Hung is tied for 20th on the individual leaderboard at 3-over 145. Bae, Don and Holpfer all are tied for 42nd at 150, Mahé is tied for 50th at 151 and Cowart is tied for 60th at 154.

Hung had an extremely steady day featuring two birdies, two bogeys and 14 pars. She began play at No. 10 and was 1-over through nine holes, with a bogey at No. 14 as her only blemish. After the turn, she birdied No. 5 and No. 6 to move to 1-under on the day but gave one of those strokes with a bogey at No. 9, her closing hole of the day.

No. 5 Wake Forest shot 4-under 280 to surge to the top of the team leaderboard at 571, six shots ahead of No. 13 Arizona State in second. Rounding out the top-10 teams are No. 21 Baylor at 578; No. 8 Alabama and No. 11 Texas at 579; No. 18 Auburn at 583; No. 4 South Carolina at 587; No. 10 Arkansas at 289; and the Bulldogs and Tigers both at 592.

Arizona State's Calynee Rosholt is the individual leader at 3-under 139.

Georgia will play with Duke and Vanderbilt on Wednesday, teeing off from No. 10 in 10-minute intervals between 11:20-12:00. Holpfer will tee off from No. 10 at 10:20. Live scoring will be available via golfstat, and the tournament will air live on the Golf Channel from 2:30-5:30 p.m.
