ESPN Announces Slate of Softball Games in 2020

ATHENS, Ga. – ESPN and the Southeastern Conference have announced the television schedule for the upcoming softball season. The 16th-ranked University of Georgia softball team is set to appear on the networks of ESPN at least 12 times in 2020. 
 
In week two of the season, the Bulldogs will travel to Clearwater, Florida for the Second Annual St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational. Georgia will open play in Clearwater against the Kansas Jayhawks on Feb. 14. That matchup will air on SEC Network at noon. The following day, Georgia's 4 p.m. game against reigning national champion UCLA will air on ESPNU. Georgia's games against Northwestern, Texas Tech, and South Florida will stream live on ESPN3 via the ESPN app. 
 
The Bulldogs will appear on TV twice for four-straight weeks beginning with the Saturday and Sunday games at Arkansas, March 14 and 15, both at 5 p.m., ET. The Bulldogs' non-conference matchup with Oklahoma State on Wednesday, March 18 in Athens will air on ESPNU at 6 p.m. That weekend, the series finale with Auburn will also appear on ESPNU from Athens, set to begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 22. The Saturday and Sunday games of the LSU series, Mar. 28 and 29, in Baton Rouge will air on ESPN2. 
 
Georgia's series against Kentucky in Athens is SEC Network's Saturday-Sunday-Monday series April 4-6. The Bulldogs and Wildcats will face off under the lights Sunday and Monday at 7 p.m. on SEC Network. 
 
To round out the television schedule, ESPN2 will air the Saturday and Sunday games between the Bulldogs and Florida Gators, April 25 and 26, in Gainesville, Florida. Both games are set to begin at noon. 
 
All of Georgia's home games in 2020 not scheduled for national TV will stream live on SEC Network+. 
 
The Bulldogs officially open the 2020 season Thursday, Feb. 6 at Jack Turner Stadium when North Alabama comes to Athens. First pitch of the season is slated for 5:30 p.m.
